After four brutal days of enduring your horrible bosses or your gossip-mongering colleagues, you finally get to have a respite from all the stress.
You’ve made plans with your BFFs because the only way to get relief from all the week-long drudgery is to party, party, party until every last drop of stress has been sweated out of your body. You’ve even prepared a ruched bodycon slip dress just for the occasion.
But as the clock ticked 5 o’ clock, your BFFs suddenly bailed out on you for whatever reason.
What a way to spend Friday night alone, you murmured.
Well, don’t be disheartened my lovelies. It happens to a lot of us almost all the time. Fortunately, it’s not the end of the world. So there are still plenty of things you can do to end the week right. For instance, these three tried and tested fun activities to do alone.
- Do people watching.
Okay. This may sound like something only a loser would do, but really, there’s nothing wrong with it. Just take a walk downtown on Friday night, feel the cold crisp air, and just wander around aimlessly. It can be amusing to watch people go insane, get drunk or run around from one club to the other. Plus, it’s a nice, inexpensive way to clear your mind.

- Do something new.
If you don’t bake, try it. If you don’t know how to dance, take lessons. If you don’t know how to play pool, hit to the nearest pub. The point of doing it is to get yourself out of your usual routine. Plus, it’s a great way to meet new people.
- Check out your town’s local calendar of events.
A lot of towns have their own calendar of events, especially with the Christmas holiday fast approaching. So check it online to find something that might interest you. For instance, you can check out this TimeOut site on things to do in New York City in December.
Of course, before you head out, be sure to look your best. Because you’ll never know when you might bump into a boyfriend-material hottie.
So you see, ladies? There’s always something fun to do on a Friday night even if you get to spend it all by yourself.
